We create beautiful custom wedding gowns for brides. At the heart of our business is the desire to make sure that every bride adorns a signature piece that uniquely reflects who she is on her special day. To make this a reality, we work hard to ensure we understand each bride’s vision so that we can bring it to life. Our goal is to make the customisation process as easy as possible without it costing an arm and a leg! Brides are able to bring to life their own design just as they imagined it. We do this through our own unique and pragmatic order fulfillment process that is specifically designed to capture every detail of our brides’ designs.
We are based in Johannesburg but can accommodate orders from across South Africa and the rest of Africa. We have a home studio that brides can visit to meet the team. If you’d like to visit us, make an appointment by filling out our contact form or by giving us a call. We’d love to meet you!
Design Consultation: This is where you will work with one of our consultants to make
your vision come to life. You will need to book a consultation in advance so that we can
ensure that we have a consultant that will be dedicated to providing you with a personal
one-on-on experience. Using your design ideas and inspiration pictures, your style
consultant will work collaboratively with you to finalise a wedding dress that is both
pleasing to you and your budget.
Invoice: We will send you a pro-forma invoice based on your dress design. The price of your dress depends on two main things. The first is the fabric used on your dress and second is the hand work needed on your dress. If you are happy with the pro-forma invoice, you can proceed to make a deposit payment towards your dress.
Create: Once you’ve made a deposit, our suppliers will begin the production process according to your specific measurements and fabric selections. We will provide you with regular picture updates throughout the production process.
Deliver: Once the wedding dress is complete, we will contact you to notify you that you are now fully equipped to make heads turn your wedding day. Johannesburg residents can pop into our home studio to collect their dress. For brides residing outside Johannesburg, the dress will be delivered to an address that you specify
We love absolutely love meeting all of our brides! For this reason, we advise that if you are in Johannesburg, you should definitely come through to our home studio. However, we do understand that this may not be possible for everyone and so we have made it possible to proceed with the process through phone calls, video calling and emails. Communication is important to us so we will do everything from our side to make sure that the process works seamlessly.
A consultation fee of R500 is required at least one day prior to the Design Consultation.
We have a comprehensive consultation process. Our Design Consultation is designed to equip you with the knowledge of creating a wedding dress and the key considerations you need to be thinking about. It is important to us that you understand your body shape and how this informs the design of your dress. Excitingly, in the session we get into the detail of your dress, how it would look and the fabrics and laces that would be used.
The Agape team is happy to have a telephonic or in-person meeting with you to chat through your concerns and questions. We understand that this is a big purchase and will do everything we can to make you feel comfortable. The lines of communication are always open. Even if you aren’t ready to start designing your dress, you can still schedule an appointment.
We encourage you to design a dress that best reflects your style. During your consultation, our consultants will be able to guide you on what’s possible and can advise on the price implications of your design. Dresses that are intricate and detail heavy will most likely correlate with a higher price tag due to the handcrafting that will be required.
We have developed our own unique and pragmatic order fulfillment process to make sure every detail of our bride’s dress wishes is captured. We have thought through each step of the production process and work hand in hand with our suppliers to ensure that your wedding dress is made to quality standards and exceeds your expectations.
Our dresses are custom-made to your exact measurements! Brides based in Johannesburg are able to visit our studio where one of our consultants can take your measurements for you. If you are based outside Johannesburg, we will link you up with one of our tailor partners closest to you to take your measurements.
We have third-party tailor partners that can assist with alterations. Agape Wedding Boutique offers a voucher which covers up to R500.00 of the alteration costs. Should alternations exceed this, brides are required to pay the excess amount.
After your consultation with us, we will send you a pro -forma invoice for your wedding dress. A deposit of 50% is required to start creating your beautiful dress. The remainder of the payment is payable upon collection or prior to delivery of the dress.
We have a 100% refund policy. If you are not fully satisfied with your dress at the end of our process, we will take it back and refund the full price of your dress or rework it for you. We offer this policy because we know that this is a critical purchase. We are confident that we can work together to deliver the dress of your dreams and want you to feel assured in working with us.
Right now, we made bridal gowns and separates within the standard bridal color palette (white,
ivory, cream, blush,
champagne). This allows us to buy silk in bulk and insure the best quality. We are also limited to
the lace we can find and
At present, our dresses are only available in white, ivory and champagne. We buy these fabrics in bulk so that it can ultimately benefit you through lower prices. You also have a choice of the laces we have available. We always try our best source a variety laces that cater to the diversity of our Agape brides.
WAt this stage we only make wedding dresses for brides.
